China News Service, May 7, according to a report compiled by the Brazilian South American Overseas Chinese News Network, the Costa Rican Tourism Agency (ICT) has repeatedly stated in the past few weeks that domestic tourism will be the focus of recovery after the "epidemic" of the tourism industry.

Costa Rica ’s “Republic” reported on May 5 that in order to reactivate tourism activities after the end of the outbreak, the Costa Rican authorities will launch a wide range of publicity campaigns for domestic tourism and reduce local tourism prices through a series of means. Costa Rica Tourism Bureau will establish strategic alliances with major travel agencies, local industry associations, and financial institutions to work together to promote domestic travel and reduce prices.

The specific plan for promoting the development of domestic tourism will focus on the following eight axes: attract airlines to settle in, promote external investment, promote marine tourism projects, conduct industry training, and promulgate and implement health and safety regulations for all tourism companies.

"Unlike the previous domestic tourism promotion program launched by the private sector, the Costa Rica Tourism Bureau will directly reduce the price of domestic tourism through sweepstakes, coupons and other activities. For nationals, short-term vacations will be more attractive." Costa Rican Tourism Minister Maria Said María Amalia Revelo.

In addition, Costa Rica Tourism said that the exact date of the price reduction has not yet been determined. When the promotion starts, it depends on the end time of the restrictive travel measures.
