China on Thursday condemned US statements about the new Corona virus and described it as "false", after criticism by US President Donald Trump to Beijing, saying it should have stopped the Covid-19 epidemic.

Trump said yesterday, Wednesday, that the epidemic was "worse" than the Pearl Harbor attack in 1941 and the attacks of September 11, 2001, again his attacks on China, saying that "this should never have happened."

In response to these remarks, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Shunying said that "many countries, experts and scholars have made positive comments on China's handling of controlling and controlling the virus."

"Only the United States issues conflicting, false, and hypocritical positions," she added.

"The enemy that the United States faces is called the emerging Corona virus," Hua said, calling on Americans to "fight alongside China as comrades, not as enemies."

"It is unfortunate to see that some in the United States blame others rather than shoulder their responsibilities," she added.

China managed to control Covid-19, which hit 83,000 people, and killed 4,633, according to official figures.

In contrast, the states have the largest number of deaths in the world with the virus (more than 73,000).

Trump announced yesterday, Wednesday, that the virus "is the worst attack on our country ever. Worse than Pearl Harbor," referring to the sudden Japanese attack on the US Pearl Harbor base in Hawaii in 1941, which prompted the United States to enter World War II.

"He is worse than the World Trade Center," Trump added, referring to the September 11, 2001 attacks that killed 3,000 people.

He considered that it was "possible to stop it at the source. It could have been stopped in China."
