The writer Mahmoud Al-Saadani described Al-Tablawy in “Melodies of Heaven” as “the genius of the recitation,” and the great musician Mohamed Abdel Wahab described it as “possessing the impossible tone.”

Through his distinguished recitation of the Holy Qur’an, al-Tablawi approached presidents, leaders, politicians and decision-makers in Egypt and the Arab and Islamic worlds, and his foreign travels were often considered part of the Egyptian popular diplomacy.

In his book, “The Corridors of Politics and the Scenes of Diplomacy,” the Secretary of the former Egyptian President for Information Affairs, Dr. Mustafa al-Faqi, shed light on the scenes of Tablawi’s visit to India in the seventies to recite the Qur’an in general marquees there, which came following the visit of the famous reader, Abdel Basset Abdel Samad, when al-Faqi was at the time of the two visits. And the visit made a huge impact among the Muslim Indians, who were unable to prevent their tears from being affected by reading, and Al-Faki indicated that these visits were giving additional weight to Egypt's external role.

Al-Tablawi revealed in identical media hadiths that the late Saudi King, Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, allowed him to recite the Holy Qur’an inside the Holy Kaaba, and that the late King gave him a piece of honorable clothing, which he kept until his death. Al-Tablawi said in an interview with the media Osama Kamal on "Al-Nas" channel that the late Saudi king told him, in agreement with this incident, that "the Holy Qur’an was revealed in the Arabian Peninsula, printed in Istanbul, and read in Egypt", with what Tablawi considered as an implicit tribute to his career.

The journalist writer, Waheed Raafat, revealed to «Emirates Today» the details of Al-Tablawi’s relationship with the late President Anwar Sadat, whom he narrated in press interviews, indicating that “Al-Tablawi told him that Sadat met him on a visit to his brother, Esmat in Maadi Hospital, so he reprimanded him for saying on a TV program that he is from (Mit Oqba), to know Sadat about the existence of the Menoufian roots for al-Tablawi, to which the famous reciter, who was known for his tact and wit, replied to him that he would appear on a second TV program and said that he was from Saft Lepros, the center of Tala, Menoufia Governorate, and that he was honored to be Menoufian.

Raafat narrated that al-Tablawi “was a simple person, who loved the films of Ismail Yassin, Naguib al-Rihani, Ali al-Kassar, Asmahan, and Souad Muhammad, and he did not like the voice of Abdel-Halim Hafez,” as it was reported in the dialogues.

In the same direction, Al-Tablawi defended the late President Hosni Mubarak, even after the outbreak of the January 25 revolution, and after Mubarak's departure from power, considering that the background to his position is "humanitarian, not political". Al-Tablawi said in a TV interview with Al-Hayat TV in 2015 that the problem that many attributed to the situation before January 25, 2011 was not in Mubarak, but in people around him, as evidenced by a positive stance by Mubarak with him, when he clashed with officials of the Diwan, who refused to present Special food for a sick reciter at the funeral of Ibn Alaa Mubarak, where the former president stood with Al-Tablawy and his colleagues, and the Diwan officials riverized asking them to fulfill all their requests.

It is worth noting that al-Tablawi was subjected to a mysterious assassination attempt, by offering a cup of coffee in which one of his opponents was poisoned, but for a mysterious reason he refrained from drinking coffee, after he extended his hand to it several times, so one of the attendees, who died immediately after drinking it, picked it up as he revealed Himself, this secret is at the end of his life, in an interview with the journalist, Iman Al-Hosari, for the "DMC Evening" program on the "DMC" channel.

It should also be noted that Al-Tablawy retired from the world of recitation at the age of 84, and devoted himself to defending the reciters, who numbered 8000 people, so she nominated the location of the Captain to succeed Sheikh Abu Al-Anin Shaisha, and he succeeded in raising their pensions and providing services to them.
