The Jordanian Minister of Health, Saad Jaber, announced today, Thursday, that 14 new cases of the new Corona virus have been registered, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Jordan to 484 since the start of the pandemic.

The new cases arose after a truck driver living near Al-Mafraq, in the northeast of the country, who had entered the country about two weeks ago and did not adhere to the home quarantine, was confirmed.

The Minister of Health announced, in the daily press briefing, the registration of four cases of recovery, and there are 65 cases in accredited hospitals now, where 4624 laboratory examinations were performed today, in various regions of the Kingdom.

Speaking about the cases recorded today, the Minister indicated that the new wounded were relatives of the injured driver, and pointed to the continued isolation of the driver's area of ​​residence in Mafraq.

Jaber revealed that a quarantine center in the Al-Omari area (at the border with Saudi Arabia) will be allocated to all truck drivers.
