The confinement sometimes leads the gendarmes to fulfill unusual missions. As proof, this "dismantling" operation carried out Monday in Larra, a small village in the Haute-Garonne, located north-west of Toulouse. As they tell in a post on Facebook, the soldiers had to stick to the dismantling of a small private wind turbine, whose creaky and aging pale made the neighbors run wild.

It belonged to an 82-year-old resident, who had taken all the measures to have his machine dismantled. "But confinement was right for its projects," explain the gendarmes, understanding. And, no question for the octogenarian to take the risk of climbing himself to the mast.

The recalcitrant pale were neutralized and since Monday the neighborhood has regained its tranquility.
