The Arab Organization for Human Rights described the Sudanese government's intention to hand over Egyptian opponents to Cairo as a crime and a grave violation of international law.

The organization stated - in a statement - that the detainees were not brought before any judicial authority, and some of them were subjected to investigation by Egyptian intelligence officers.

It pointed to a recent bilateral security understanding between Khartoum and Cairo, and the forcible disappearance of Egyptian opponents in Sudan and their torture.

The organization called on the revolutionary forces in Sudan to address attempts to cooperate with the Egyptian repressive regime, according to its description.

It is noteworthy that Egypt had previously received a number of opponents who were refugees in some countries that had deported them to their country, which drew criticism against it from organizations and human rights activists.
