I went to Lebanon five times to carry out peacekeeping missions, and dealt with mines countless times. From newborn calves to demining veterans, I kept breaking my wrist with the "Death God" in the minefield.

I remember the first time I went to the minefield, I saw mines and unexploded ordnance exposed on the ground. It was a fake to say that I was not nervous, but I did not flinch. "Beep beep", the mine detector sounded a prompt, locate the signal source, mine mine ... Although the team leader encouraged me from time to time not far behind, but I still felt a little nervous. An hour later, I finally dug up a piece of aerial bomb and completed the mission, but this hour seemed to be the longest torment in my life.

With the first "demining" experience, I have continuously accumulated confidence and confidence. In the follow-up tasks, I gradually grew into an excellent operator, clearing more than 50 mines that year.

In a minefield that faces the test of life and death at all times, it is necessary to have the courage to overcome difficulties and to have excellent mine clearance skills. I remember an examination of mine clearance qualification certification. Examiner Bilal buried a handful of pushpins in the underground about one square meter, and asked me to carry out detection and calibration. According to the standard operating procedures, when multiple signal sources appear within a square meter, it is difficult to locate accurately, and a full excavation is required. But for me, this is not difficult. In less than two minutes, I used the "cross positioning method" to mark the 6 locations where the pushpins were buried, which made the examiners on the scene amazed and gave thumbs up.

Five peacekeeping operations, from job operator, deputy team leader to team leader, the identity is changing, and the responsibilities and pressures on my shoulders are also changing-as a backbone, I must not only ensure my safety, but also the safety of my comrades in arms . After five peacekeeping operations, I brought out more than 100 qualified operators and more than 20 mine-clearing backbones. From the training ground to the minefield, watching them grow up in batches, a sense of pride emerged.

Someone asked me: "Minesweeper detonation is 'dance on the tip of a knife', and breaking the wrist with 'Death'. Why do you actively submit an application every time you are selected for training?" I said, "This is the blood of a soldier It is also our mission. "

Since China ’s peacekeeping officers and soldiers were stationed in Lebanon in 2006, more than 10,000 mines and unexploded ordnance have been eliminated, and the excellent results of “fastest speed, highest quality, lowest cost and zero casualties” have been achieved. Officials praised it as "the best demining team." The outstanding performance of Chinese soldiers is well-known in UNIFIL, attracting multinational peacekeepers to observe and learn on the job site.

This is a glory created by a batch of peacekeeping officers and soldiers, and we have to pass it on forever. Every batch of peacekeeping demining officers and soldiers will have novices. In order to let them master the skills of safe demining, we will carry out strict training before the expedition. Every operator has to undergo thousands of trainings from the simulation of signal sources with wire coils of 10 cm and 5 cm in diameter to the simulation of signal sources with coins and bullet shells until he is familiar with the "temper temperament" of the mine detector. Only in this way can we accurately locate the signal source under various complicated conditions and win victory in the contest with "Death".

In the Lebanese peacekeeping mission area, whenever I see a friendly peacekeeper exchange and study at our minefield, whenever the local people smile and give us thumbs up, I will feel proud of being a Chinese peacekeeper.

"Achievements in building a foreign country, building an image overseas, coming for peace, and winning triumphs ..." Every time I hear this song, I always think of those days of peacekeeping and the many mines near the "Blue Line" on the border between Lebanon and Israel. field. Being able to contribute to the quietness and harmony of that land is my regretless choice in my life.
