Procrastination is a general human condition and a totally emotional and psychological reaction, which we take towards an action that we do not want to do. Perhaps this act is our dream, but we are afraid to confront it, but we still have ways to overcome this.

Why do you postpone work tasks?
The reason why you are running away from work may be that you are afraid to miss it, and luckily there are two ways to bypass that vacation.

Motivational researcher and psychologist, Heidi Grant, offers the first way to look at any task as a way to get a better situation than you are now. For example, if you intend to go to the gym to get a better body, or you will end your novel project to share your ideas with people and win prizes. This way of thinking about the benefits from work will drive you with enthusiasm and optimism.

The second way to solve a fear of work crisis is probably not the best, but it is effective when you don't predict a better reality, but you stick to what you have and avoid losing it. Grant recommends that you imagine completing your project in order not to anger your manager or even not lose your job, in which case you will be driven only by anxiety, and the more anxious you are, the faster you will be able to do your job.

Do not fool yourself
our feelings fool us a lot, do not be able to get up from bed early even though you are free, and you cannot regularly play sports despite noticing your mood improves after each exercise, and you consider delaying all your tasks until you want them to, but you do not think about changing your feelings.

We do not need our feelings to deliver projects as long as you do not push us forward, and all we need is to adhere to what we do, see the project in progress, get better health, or publish a book, even the creators did not leave themselves waiting for inspiration, and they followed a daily writing and drawing system .

Is your work boring and complicated?
You are not alone in seeing work tasks as boring and complex, but perhaps it is a trick that your feelings towards work play. But if your work is really boring, then delaying it is a trick from you to prove the strength of your will to do what you want and leave what you do not want.

We overestimate our ability to do what we want, while the best thing to do for yourself in boring work is not to delay it. And getting yourself to do what you see as boring, difficult and useless just to accomplish it, and your best way in that case is to plan that your plan includes the steps that you need to complete in detail until the completion of the project, in addition to where and when you will accomplish it specifically.

Face your abilities
Tim Bichel, author of "Solving the riddle of procrastination," says procrastination is a negative, irrational act, which is the result of the emotional part of your brain, and it stops at the moment you choose to do the work, but how do you get there?

Turn your mission into a challenging game, how many words can you write in 20 minutes? Or can you keep reading for an hour? If the answer is no, and this effort is greater than your capabilities, can you continue reading up to 30 minutes?

Reduce time until you feel no resistance, then start. Do anything to get started. It is easy to continue the task after starting it, whether by implementation or just planning and detailing, because you think that the delayed tasks are difficult, but starting with them reduces this false feeling.

Record your accumulated tasks
, you may find yourself eager to write what you want to achieve, and this will reduce the pressure on you, once you see the list of tasks in front of you, it is only huge in your imagination.

Write this on a sheet in front of you, distribute tasks in days, weeks, and months, put the paper on your desk, and encourage yourself not to make your effort no less than 70% of your plan.

In addition to the costs you have recorded, you can write down all the ways procrastination affects your career, your salary, your health and your happiness. A list of professional and personal tasks and the consequences of leaving them will know the cost of procrastination.

To avoid distraction, turn off your phone before starting work (German) tasks.

Turn off your phone.
Facebook and Twitter are our escape routes so that we don't face ourselves, so when you hold your phone within the hour you set yourself, turn off the Internet and turn it off. You can also use apps like Focus to turn off your phone for hours to work.

You can delete Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and notifications from your phone to ensure you are not distracted, and search for what you spend unnecessarily long times in your day, so stop it now in favor of work.
