The summit, which was held via remote video technology, under the slogan "Uniting against the Corona Epidemic" and at the invitation of the President of Azerbaijan, President of the current session of the Non-Aligned Movement, Ilham Aliyev, witnessed the participation of a number of heads of state, and representatives of more than 30 countries.

Al-Owais presented, during this extraordinary meeting, the measures and measures taken by the UAE in facing this global pandemic, stressing that practical solidarity with friendly peoples and governments, without distinguishing between the humanitarian and political stances, was one of the civilizational and moral pillars of the UAE's efforts, and the pillar of the humanitarian initiatives that it implemented The country since the beginning of this pandemic.

He pointed out that the Emirates extended a helping hand and assistance to about 43 countries, and sent more than 472 tons of medical aid, pointing out that the UAE has worked hard in cooperation with the World Health Organization and its partners to respond quickly by transferring more than 80% of its medical and health assistance to more than 98 Country around the world.

Al Owais stressed that the UAE affirms through this platform "a call for intensive international cooperation, to contain the epidemic and defeat it, through the exchange of information and scientific knowledge."

He emphasized "the UAE's vision and belief that eliminating this pandemic requires our countries strong will, sincere collective work, awareness of the requirements of the stage, and enhancing cooperation at all levels."
