As noted, Kolarge in a letter to the head of the EC stated that the authorities of Prague-6 had the right to remove the monument, since it is the property of the municipality and that it can dispose of it in accordance with Czech laws.

“The act of removing the monument from the pedestal caused an inadequate reaction of Russia,” the document says.

Collage notes that, in response to this action, Russia decided to respond with “threats and generally inappropriate interference” in the affairs of Prague-6, “Prague as such, and in the final - the whole Czech Republic”.

“Personally, I have been called by their official representatives“ Gauleiter ”(Nazi party title. - RT),” he said.

According to him, the Russian embassy and Russian officials are using social networks and "misinformation sites" to Czech citizens with "calls for the physical elimination of those involved in the removal of the monument."

“Dear Madam Chairperson, I ask and urge you to take decisive measures so that Russia is clearly told that such behavior is unacceptable,” he added.

As previously stated in the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Russian side, due to the situation surrounding the dismantling of the monument to Konev, offered the Czech Republic dialogue mechanisms to protect the monuments.

The Czech Republic also stated that they were ready for negotiations with Russia on the transfer of the monument.
