The credit guarantee is SEK 3.3 billion. The loan package has been approved by the European Commission and was decided in connection with the corona crisis, writes SAS.

- We are pleased that we have been able to conclude a credit facility agreement with the support of the Danish and Swedish government. The agreement increases our financial flexibility, which is crucial at a time when most of our aircraft fleet is on the ground. With this facility in place, we continue our focused work on reducing our costs, says Torbjørn Wist, CFO at SAS, according to the press release.

While SAS is guaranteed the loan by the Swedish and Danish state, the company seeks additional support from the Norwegian government in the form of loans with state guarantees of up to NOK 1.7 billion.
