With many jokes about Egyptians and their tendency to ridicule, whether in humor or sometimes even in grandfather, you might think that the proposal to turn pharmacists into doctors is just a new joke that comes from the "entertainment of fasting," as the Egyptians say.

But the surprise is that it is not a nice or even ridiculous joke, because it is an official proposal from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and official letters were issued by the Egyptian Military Medical Academy.

The proposal, which seemed like a joke, was rejected by the Medical Syndicate, and strongly denounced it, and considered harmful to the health of Egyptians and the country's reputation, to end up with a real joke that won the interaction and mocking of the pioneers of the communication sites, and reminded them of the ancient Egyptian army's involvement in what is known in the media as the treatment of the "kofta".

A proposal was rejected

The proposal - or the joke with the expression of the communication sites - emerged after the publication of an official letter issued by Major General Doctor Ahmed Al-Tawdi, head of the Military Medical Academy of the Egyptian Army, inviting the Syndicate of Doctors Hussein Khairy to a meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6 to discuss the proposal to convert pharmacists to human doctors.

Major-General, the doctor, stated that the invitation to the meeting comes within the framework of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s directives issued last March regarding the study of converting pharmacists to doctors after completing the necessary studies.

The union's response was not late, as it rejected the proposal in an official letter that it also published on the communication sites, stressing that this proposal is harmful to the health of the Egyptian citizen, as well as harm Egypt's international medical reputation.

The Doctors ’Syndicate added that“ there is no precedent for that in the history of the modern medicine profession, and therefore anyone who desires to pursue the medical profession and is responsible for the lives of the Egyptians, must enter the first year of the College of Human Medicine, and after his graduation and training he is granted a license to practice the medical profession. ” .

She stressed that each category of the medical team exercises its role in accordance with the scientific and professional principles, and according to the type of theoretical and practical study that it studied for many years, and no group can replace the other category, and it is not permissible to say that any complementary study can equate a different scientific and practical certificate.

Anger and sarcasm

The proposal angered and ridiculed the communication sites in Egypt, and the pioneers of these sites considered it a continuation of what they described as the policy of futility that Egypt currently lives under the rule of Sisi.

While others went to it as a new implication of the army in scientific scandals, such as the "treatment of kofta" scandal, which the army adopted for allegedly treating HIV / AIDS and many diseases, to end up with a global scandal that no one has yet held accountable for.

Tweetors ridiculed the proposal, and some of them called for the inclusion of graduates of other colleges such as trade, law and ethics, and some saw it as a humiliation of the pharmacy profession and a lack of recognition of its importance.

On the other hand, people asked about the reasons behind the proposal, as some said that it was because the number of pharmacists exceeded the needs of the Egyptian market significantly, and others went to it because of the shortage in the number of doctors, because of the migration that the Ministry of Health complained more than once.

The Doctors Syndicate refused to turn the pharmacists into human doctors

Do you know the word "white army", why did you come out?
Did you know the status of the new commissioning system, why?
Did you know that Dr. Mashali, the charlatan of medicine, did you see him in the field, why?
Do you know the army, do you want pharmacists to turn doctors?
The doctors' resignations, their emigration, and the world opened its arms to them, so they would madden them, especially in a profession.
