A dispute between two families in the neighborhood could be the cause of the deadly brawl. Monday afternoon, a 22-year-old man died after being stabbed twice in the heart of the Chemin des Molières in Firminy, in the Loire, reports Le Progrès.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim, living in Saint-Etienne, is the grandson of one of the two families involved in this neighborhood conflict. On Monday, in a fight with another man, he was stabbed and left in a bloodbath in the courtyard of a complex of buildings. Alerted by residents, the firefighters took charge of the young man and tried to revive him. In vain.
Two men in police custody
Shortly after the incident, two men, 20 and 25 years old, were arrested. One at his home and the second ended up going to the police after fleeing. They were remanded in custody. The investigation, entrusted to the criminal brigade of the departmental direction of public security (DDSP), should make it possible to establish who carried the fatal blows.
