A public and a private university, two major companies and a public administration. Five qualified voices will contribute their point of view tomorrow to the digital meeting organized by EL MUNDO, this May 6 at 5:00 p.m. , around The necessary digital revolution of universities due to the Covid-19 crisis.

How to transform educational processes towards the digitization of content and the creation of virtual learning environments? How has the way of relating to students changed? What opportunities and risks will come from technology in the medium and long term? These will be some of the issues that will be discussed during the event, which is sponsored by the CEU San Pablo University and the Community of Madrid.

Those two institutions will also be represented in the debate itself. CEU San Pablo will intervene its rector, Rosa Visiedo , also director of CEU Universities. Likewise, on behalf of the Community of Madrid, the Minister for Science, Universities and Innovation, Eduardo Sicilia, will speak.

Another university, in this public case, will participate in this exchange of opinions on how the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic will forever transform Spanish higher education. This is the Polytechnic University of Madrid, which will be represented by its rector, Guillermo Cisneros.

Finally, the business world will also have two representatives in this forum. One of them is Banco Santander, the great patron of the Spanish University in recent years and one of the companies that invest the most in education worldwide. The point of view of the financial institution will be contributed by Susana García Espinel, director of Universia and Santander Universities.

And of course, the point of view of a technology company could not be absent, since it is technology that will allow the current academic year to be saved despite the state of alarm and confinement. Specifically, Belén Gancedo, director of Education at Microsoft Iberica, will shed light on this aspect of the debate topic.

The debate, which will be chaired by Juanjo Becerra, head of the CAMPUS section of EL MUNDO, will last for about an hour and you can read all the details about its development and how to register to be able to follow it live at www.eventosue. .com / universities.
