Companies must adapt to the health protocol required to prepare for the reopening of premises to employees on May 11. Hydro-alcoholic gel, disinfection of offices, air conditioning or even the coffee machine: nothing is left to chance by the managers of this company in Avelin, in the North.

REPORTAGE

In less than a week, some employees will be back to work. For companies, the implementation of all health barriers to protect workers before Covid-19 before May 11 is a headache. In the North, in Avelin, the Doublet company specializes in the manufacture of signage (flags, barriers). Of the 120 employees, only about forty work on the site. But from May 11, and the beginning of the deconfinement process, they will be more and more.

Mandatory mask, disinfectant wipes

At the entrance to the building, employees are greeted by hydroalcoholic gel and the wearing of a mask is compulsory. On the ground floor, there are the workshops and a staircase to access the offices. "We are going to provide employees with wipes", explains Gaëlle Colaert-Doublet, general manager. "So that each time, they can take the reflex to go down with wipe in hand or to go up with wipe in hand".

In the almost empty open-space, the computers are turned off. A thin layer of dust covers the keyboards, which have not been used for almost two months. To prepare the return of employees, each office will be disinfected. "What we have planned is to take everything that is on the desks, put them in boxes, and clean everything with bleach," said the director general.

Air conditioning and coffee machine cleaning

"We have air conditioning, we are looking at how to have it cleaned this week," she adds. "We will also be looking at how to increase the partitions. Higher partitions to encourage the creation of closed workspaces, to protect them."
