According to the citizen proposal that came to the municipality in November 2019, motorists in Kungsör ignore that parking in the city center can be done for a maximum of two hours. Instead, cars can remain standing all day and night.
It is said to lead to difficulties in finding vacant parking and that the elderly are forced to move from parking further away when they are going to settle matters.
But according to Kungsör's Municipal Technology, there is no need for a p-disc in the center. Parking surveillance was extended two years ago and the problem with cars that are too long is not considered to be great. According to the investigation done, there is also no shortage of street parking.
Therefore, they consider the proposal to be rejected. Decisions are made in the city council on Monday.
