Emmanuel Macron tried to reassure and at the same time warn the French: "  We must learn to live with the virus, " he insisted. And we will have to do it as long as it has not or disappeared spontaneously or until we have a stable treatment or a vaccine. It is a necessity to live with the virus and also to accept that confinement is not going to be a state that can be extended indefinitely.  "

The deconfinement, according to the head of state, "  it's not a return to normalcy, it's a new step  ". A new stage which arouses much distrust and criticism. In particular on the part of the mayors concerning the organization of the reopening of the schools, but which Emmanuel Macron wants to show that it is under control by affirming that it must be approached with organization, method and calm.

I understand all the concerns, but we will resolve them each time at the right level. There are sometimes concerns that are resolved locally, there are others that are resolved nationally. And it must be done with a lot of pragmatism and good will. This is the spirit that is ours. So, I want to reassure our fellow citizens. We will make the decision in detail for Thursday. We will do things in good order everywhere on our territory.  "

Emmanuel Macron wants to take the initiative. He must also go this Tuesday to an elementary school in Poissy in the Yvelines before exchanging videoconference with mayors of the department to show that he is on deck and that he consults until the end.
