The Ministry of Labor explained how days off on May 6, 7 and 8 will be paid. As RIA Novosti was told in the department, these three days will have the same principle as in April.

“That is, wages are maintained and paid in the usual amount,” the agency quoted the Ministry of Labor as saying.

In late April, due to the situation with the spread of coronavirus, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared the period from May 6 to 8 non-working with salary saving. Thus, the period of non-working days, taking into account the May holidays, will last until May 11 inclusive.

“Ahead we have a series of May holidays, and between them are working days - May 6, 7, 8. We know that in a normal situation, many would not work, take time off, leave. And now even more so you can’t take risks. Therefore, I think it is right to declare these three days non-working with the preservation of wages, ”the head of state said.

Earlier, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov said that the wages of employees should not be reduced if their labor duties for the period of non-working days have not changed.

“If we are talking about the amount of wages, then in the event that your job duties, duties have not changed, your salary should correspond to the level that was in the usual mode of work,” he said on the television channel “Russia 24 ".

According to the Ministry of Labor, about 10% of companies switched to the remote mode of work in Russia.

The ministry believes that many employees may like this format and companies will want to stay distant even after a pandemic.

At the same time, the Russian authorities explained earlier that employees who continue their activities during non-working days are entitled to a regular salary, regardless of whether they work remotely or at a traditional workplace. The employer has the right to increase the salary, but is not obliged to do this, since non-working days are neither days off nor holidays.

Support measures

Meanwhile, the country's authorities are taking measures aimed at reducing the negative consequences of the pandemic for the population and the economy, as well as supporting medical personnel struggling with the spread of the disease. So, in April, May and June, doctors will receive an additional 80 thousand rubles each month, the average medical staff - 50 thousand rubles, the junior medical staff - 25 thousand rubles, ambulances - from 25 to 50 thousand rubles.

In addition, by the end of 2020, the maximum amount of payments for unemployed citizens was increased from 8,000 to 12,130 rubles per month. The amount of benefits in each case depends on the reason for dismissal, length of service, average earnings in the same place of work, but if the unemployed is entitled to the maximum amount of payment, now it will become larger.

Measures were taken to provide material support to families with children. Families that have had or are entitled to maternity capital will be able to receive an additional payment of 5,000 rubles for each child under the age of three from April to June.

At the same time, in his address to the citizens, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the Russians to provide social benefits in an accelerated manner.

An important measure was the provision of deferred loans. If the borrower finds himself in a difficult life situation or his income has decreased by more than 30%, he has the right to use the grace period for mortgage and consumer loans. The grace period can be up to six months - during this time, the borrower may not make monthly payments or reduce their size at will. Then, the accumulated amount must be paid taking into account the updated schedule.

Recall that the whole of April was declared non-working in Russia. Authorities urged citizens not to leave home unless absolutely necessary. Then, the period of self-isolation was extended in the Russian Federation until May 11 and non-working in the country were declared on May 6, 7 and 8.

Days from May 1 to May 5 and from May 9 to 11, according to the production calendar, are public holidays.

Note that the president was instructed by the government and departments to work out a plan to exit the country from self-isolation from the 12th.

At the same time, the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova noted that the scenario of the COVID-19 epidemic in Russia and the passage of the peak depend, inter alia, on whether the population will observe self-isolation during the May holidays. She did not rule out that restrictions could extend until June.

As of May 4, Russia has recorded 145,268 cases of coronavirus infection. Of these, 18,095 patients recovered, 1,356 people died.
