The Ministry of Education developed the “Book Delivery” initiative, in cooperation with its partners, aimed at delivering sterile school books to students in their homes in the Emirate of Dubai, in view of the sterilization procedures that the Emirate witnessed over the past 24 hours, during the last period.
The Ministry stated in statements to «Emirates Today» that the initiative included all students of the Emirati school, who are studying from kindergarten through secondary education, and facilitated the students whose relatives were unable to reach schools due to the preventive and precautionary measures launched by the Emirate of Dubai within the national sterilization program, Get their textbooks to continue their education without any hindrances.
The ministry pointed out that the initiative aimed at facilitating the teaching and learning process during the current stage, confirming that it had taken the necessary sterilization procedures for all books, before and after the packaging process, to ensure that no infection was transmitted, as vehicles that transported books to students were sterilized, and the machines used in the packaging process were sterilized And also sterilization of cadres working on packaging and transporting books with the utmost care and accuracy.
The Ministry had put in place procedures to ensure the safe arrival of sterile books for students, which are sterilizing books by private companies in warehouses, requiring those who deal with books from community members to wear gloves as a precaution, and they are received at school by one person who may be the school guard, so that schools set dates For parents of students who attend cars at school to receive books on several days and different times of the day.
The Ministry stressed the importance of placing books that are received in the sun for 48 continuous hours, and the schools took charge of sorting and classifying books for each student in the school in cooperation with the secretariat and some teachers from the same area under the supervision of the administration, and the ministry asked schools to develop a plan and system that depends on the exploitation of large areas in School, teachers without quorum or very few shares and administrators, in addition to setting common rules in order to prevent crowds and non-convergence, the mechanism of delivery and receipt and disposal of bags and cartons, and cleanliness with water and soap after the processes of delivery and receipt, safe distance, and cover the nose and Shaved Emamat, and coordination with the school security guard.
