Recently, Luo Gang, Counsellor and Consul General of the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, and Yang Huahong, the chairman of the Philippine Chinese Federation, went to Manila China Town to visit the representatives of the 234 expatriate teachers who stayed in the Philippines due to the epidemic and sent condolences.

In his speech, Luo Gang conveyed the cordial condolences of the Chinese ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian to the teachers, hoping that the expatriate teachers would persevere and overcome the difficulties with the Philippines. Yang Huahong conveyed condolences to the Anti-epidemic Committee of the Disaster Relief Fund of the Chinese Society of the Philippines. The Philippine Chinese Federation of All walks of life led the Youth Committee to carefully prepare "consolation packs" including bread, milk, coffee, instant noodles, fruit and other foods, and mosquito coils, masks and other life and protective products, to cheer them up.

Huang Duanming, director of the Chinese Education Center of the Philippines, and teacher representatives accepted the condolences. The teachers thanked the embassy and the Chinese community for their care and help and expressed their deep touch.

Since the outbreak, domestic dispatched departments and relevant local governments, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines, and the Philippine-Chinese community have paid close attention to the rights and interests of expatriate teachers in the Philippines, and assisted some teachers to return home in time. By providing living subsidies, arranging accommodation, guaranteeing meals, assisting in solving visa problems, and providing life and safety protection supplies, we will effectively protect their safety and health interests in the Philippines.
