The program indicated to «Emirates Today» that it is currently implementing four huge residential neighborhood projects, in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, which require follow-up work in preventive measures, to preserve the safety of workers, including workers, engineers, contractors, or others.
The program confirmed its success in implementing the initial reception of the individual projects remotely, through the project consultant heading at the date of the initial receipt scheduled to the location of the residence to be delivered, and communicating with the program engineer through direct video communication and photographing all the works to be examined, then the program engineer decides to accept the receipt or Complete any notes, if any, and the consultant, the project contractor and the beneficiary sign the receipt record, and then send an electronic copy to the program to complete the procedures, with the aim of reducing field visits to individual projects.
In residential neighborhood projects, the program adopted the video call technology meeting system in all projects, and between technical staff, suppliers and contractors.
The program pointed out that employment is being examined in its construction projects, at a rate of more than 500 workers per day, before entering the work sites, as well as when they leave, as precautionary measures to reduce the possibility of infection with the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).
The program applies health and safety requirements in the implementation of its projects, through four procedures: Divide activities in construction sites into separate areas, to ensure reduced worker clusters and achieve physical distance, and obligate contractors to move workers from housing to sites, not to exceed 25% of The capacity of buses at one time, as well as obliging everyone to apply personal protection measures such as wearing masks and gloves, in addition to periodic sterilization of the sites and offices affiliated with them.
The program pointed to achieving high completion rates in the implementation of residential neighborhood projects, which are distributed over four emirates: Dubai with 341 homes, the completion rate for all groups reached 80%, Sharjah with 818 homes, the completion rate for all groups 60%, and Ajman with 899 homes, and the completion rate For all groups 52%, Ras Al-Khaimah with 960 residences and completion rate for all groups 73%.
