  The cruise ship currently does not carry tourists, and it has docked at Cuxhaven, where the Elbe River in northern Germany converges into the North Sea since April 28. According to the news released by TUI on the 2nd, a crew member of "Mein Schiff III" was tested positive for the new coronavirus on April 30. The confirmed crew member was then taken to the hospital in Cuxhaven for quarantine treatment and currently has only moderate symptoms. The remaining 2,899 staff members are being isolated on-site on the cruise ship and undergoing comprehensive testing.

  Tuyi Group said that the test results of 229 people who had close contact with the confirmed crew members were all negative. As of now, there are no new confirmed cases on the cruise.

After receiving the emergency assistance email from the Chinese crew of the cruise, the consulate general in Hamburg immediately activated the emergency mechanism.
