“I would be glad if since July we completely opened the borders with four neighboring countries - Austria, Germany, Poland and Slovakia,” Aktualne.cz quoted the Foreign Minister as saying.

He noted that the Czech side was the most advanced in negotiations on opening borders with the Austrians and Slovaks.

“The most difficult (negotiations) will obviously be with Poland,” he said.

From April 24, Czech citizens can travel abroad with a two-week home quarantine after returning to their homeland. 

Earlier, the Czech government approved the extension of the state of emergency until May 25.
