The breeze of freedom
The Spaniards returned to the streets again on Saturday, pleased with the end of 49 days of isolation as part of the fight against the emerging Corona virus, and went out for walking or cycling on a sunny spring day after the authorities allowed them to practice outdoor sports and hiking.

In Madrid, cyclists and skateboards flocked to the city's vast streets. In Barcelona, ​​the paths near the beach were filled with runners, while cyclists and windsurfers rushed to enjoy their favorite sport.

"We are reaping the rewards of the sacrifices that we have made during these long weeks," Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said, but stressed that as the country opens up, people will need to exercise restraint and personal responsibility to reduce the potential risks of a return of the epidemic.

Sanchez also announced that the placement of the muzzle would become "a must" in public transport from Monday in an attempt to avoid high injuries to Covid-19 again.

This comes at a time when the Spanish Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Corona virus has increased to 25 thousand and 100, after recording 276 new cases, and the number of HIV infections has risen to 216 thousand and 582, after 1147 new cases were diagnosed during the last 24 hours.

In Austria, the commercial centers and barber shops opened their doors again Saturday, after a closure that lasted about 45 days, due to the measures taken to prevent the spread of the Coruna virus.

The move comes after a decrease in the number of injuries and a rise in the number of people recovering.

The markets in Austria witnessed a great turnout, as the shops opened their doors again, with the exception of restaurants, in addition to the remaining tourist destinations in the country closed.

On the other hand, France announced the extension of the state of emergency to the 24th of next July, while it decided to keep the date for the gradual lifting of the state of emergency as scheduled in advance on May 11th.

The government spokeswoman explained that the decision taken in the Ministerial Council will be presented to both houses of parliament in the coming weeks for approval.

The French health minister said that the quarantine will only be imposed on people who arrive in France from other countries. For his part, Interior Minister Christophe Kastner said that wearing medical masks would be compulsory on all public transport.

In Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Saturday that the world needs about 8 billion euros to develop a vaccine against the Corona virus.

Merkel called on the international community to cooperate in the search for vaccines against the epidemic. She stated that the European Union will hold a donor conference Monday in the framework of efforts to combat Corona, stressing that Germany will make a significant financial contribution.

And on the continent most affected by the Corona virus, European Union Foreign Minister Josep Borrell announced that the evacuation of Europeans who were outside the EU when the borders were closed is almost over.

In Italy, the Civil Protection Agency said the deaths caused by the Covid-19 epidemic jumped by 474 cases today, compared to 269 yesterday, recording the highest daily increase since April 21.

This sharp increase in the number of deaths comes after a long-term gradual decline, mostly due to Lombardy, the hardest-hit area in the country, with 329 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours compared to only 88 the day before.

The daily number of new infections for the third consecutive day was largely settled at 1,900, compared to 1965 on Friday.

The agency said the total number of deaths since the outbreak of the disease on February 21 had reached 28,710, the second highest in the world after the United States.

In Britain, the death toll of Covid-19 increased after 621 new deaths were recorded, bringing the total to 28,131, as the number of injuries rose to 182,260, an increase of 4,806 new cases.

In the Netherlands, corona virus deaths increased to 4 thousand and 987, after 94 new deaths were recorded, and 445 cases of corona were recorded, bringing the total to 40 thousand and 236.

In Turkey, Ministry of Health data showed today, Saturday, that the number of people who died from Covid-19 increased by 78 people in the past 24 hours to 3336, in addition to 1983 new cases of the virus.

And Russia announced that the number of new infections recorded in the Corona virus in one day increased by about ten thousand, the highest toll since the outbreak began to reach 124,54.

57 people have died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 1222.

American drug
On the other hand, the US Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of an experimental antiviral drug that helps corona patients recover faster.

The administration granted permission to use the drug "Remdisiffer" after the results of a preliminary study showed that the drug shortens the recovery time from 15 to 11 days, after conducting more than a thousand clinical trials. The drug will be used in emergency situations.

This comes at a time when the deaths of the Corona virus in the United States on Saturday reached 65 thousand and 783, after recording 1811 new deaths, while HIV infections reached one million, 132 thousand and 89.

New York remains at the forefront of the states affected by the virus, as the number of infections reached 315,222, of whom 24,69 died.

New Jersey followed with 121,190 injuries, and Massachusetts with 64,311.

The data indicate that more than 6 million and 700 thousand tests to detect the virus throughout the country. While the total number of people recovered 161,666.

For his part, New York State Governor Andrew Como criticized the politicization of dealing with the Corona pandemic, stressing that everything in the country is divided between Democrat and Republican during this stage. Arab Corona
At the level of Arab countries, the Egyptian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 9 deaths and 298 new cases of the Corona virus.

According to the latest toll, the number of injuries in Egypt increased to 6 thousand and 193, including 415 deaths and 1522 cases of recovery.

In this context, the Egyptian Ministry of Endowments decided, on Saturday, to allow dinner and Tarawih prayers to be held at the Amr Ibn Al-Aas mosque in central Cairo, but only in the presence of an imam and three worshipers.

In Algeria, the spokesperson for the Crisis Cell at the Ministry of Health, Jamal Furar, reported 6 deaths and 141 injuries, in addition to 51 recovery cases.

Forar explained that the total number of HIV infections rose to 4 thousand and 295, including 459 deaths, and 1,877 cases of recovery.

The Moroccan Ministry of Health also announced the registration of two deaths and 160 new cases of the Corona virus.

For its part, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced the registration of one death, 4 injuries and 5 recovery cases, during the past 24 hours  

In Qatar, the Ministry of Health said it had recorded 776 cases of the virus, bringing the total number to 14,872.

In Oman, a death toll was recorded in addition to 36 injuries, bringing the number to 2483, while the number of deaths reached 12.

On Saturday, Jordan announced the ninth death registration with the Corona virus. Bahrain recorded 103 injuries, bringing the total to 3,170.

In Sudan, five people died as a result of coronavirus infection, and 91 new infections were recorded.

The Iraqi Ministry of Health has announced death registration and 66 new cases of Coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 2219, including 95 deaths, a thousand and 473 recovery cases.

Yemen announced the registration of the first infection with the Corona Virus in Taiz - the third province in which infections were recorded - which raises the number of HIV infections to seven cases, with two deaths in the country that is one of the most vulnerable countries in the world.

On the other hand, Tunisia received, on Saturday, a Qatari plane loaded with medical assistance to combat the Corona epidemic, which includes a field hospital equipped with 100 beds and 20 ventilators, in addition to other medical supplies.

The Qatari plane landed in Tozeur International Airport, south of Tunis, carrying the second shipment of Qatari medical aid in less than a week.

And not far from the Arab world, the Iranian authorities announced, on Saturday, that the number of deaths due to the Corona virus rose to 6 thousand and 156, after recording 65 new deaths, while the total number of infections in the country reached 96 thousand and 448 after recording 802 cases during the past 24 hours.
