The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, affiliated to the Department of Municipalities and Transport represented by the sub-municipal centers, implemented a campaign to sterilize 41 shopping centers in Abu Dhabi and the mainland, within the framework of its participation in the national sterilization program launched by the Ministry of Health and Community Protection and the Ministry of Interior, to reduce the spread of the Corona virus and immunization Community members, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Center for Waste Management (Tadawer), the Environment Authority, Abu Dhabi Police, Civil Defense, and many relevant institutions.

The municipality indicated that this campaign came in response to the directives of the leadership to continue the national sterilization program, to cover in addition to streets, walkways, roadsides and road furniture, shopping centers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where coordination was between the stakeholders in the Municipalities and Transport Department, represented by the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City and (Recycle) And strategic partners, to develop a sterilization plan to include all the shopping centers within the municipality of Abu Dhabi City, where the campaign to sterilize the shopping centers from eight in the evening until six in the morning. The sterilization campaign included approximately 41 commercial centers in various regions of Abu Dhabi, with 30 commercial centers within Abu Dhabi Island, within the jurisdiction of the City Center municipality, and approximately 11 commercial centers on the mainland, within the geographical scope of the sub-municipal centers in Mussafah, Al Shahama, Al Wathba, and Madinah Zayed.

350 liters of sterilizers

The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City clarified that it implemented the sterilization campaign, through many teams and technicians who participated in sterilization, such as the municipal employees, including engineers and inspectors, with approximately 25 employees, in addition to approximately 391 workers, 55 supervisors and engineers, and harnessing 42 hand spray equipment and 30 Mobile equipment, and sterilization materials used amounted to more than 350 liters of sterilizers.
