He added that there are some other obstacles that face the possibility of implementing rehabilitative treatment programs remotely, the most important of which is the lack of Internet service in the homes of some of the center's affiliates, in addition to the lack of familiarity with some of the skills of using techniques and electronic communication.

On a question about the role of the authority in providing psychological and social support to people who are in the process of recovering from drug addiction, under the current circumstances, which constitute an additional challenge for the most affected and vulnerable groups in society, Hareez stressed that the authority has been keen, since the beginning of the crisis of proliferation The virus, on the continuation of providing therapeutic services to the center, who currently number 39 people, pointing out that treatment and rehabilitation programs include their families as well, and includes psycho-social therapy sessions, in addition to recovery counseling sessions.

He added that the treatment programs were organized and presented through electronic channels, according to a schedule approved by the treatment team, in consultation with the senior management, so that the treatment services are provided in the morning and evening periods, noting that the treatment sessions are conducted through video calls, as well as providing counseling services Subsequent follow-up by phone, in addition to holding family gatherings and social sessions, including the families of members of the Aounak Social Rehabilitation Center, through video calls.

Huriz asserted that the care programs provided by the Aounak Center affiliated to the Community Development Authority are based on building the ability of the beneficiaries to make the right decision and plan for a better future, but supporting the family is one of the most important and first reasons for the successful implementation of the care programs for the affiliates.

He continued that the success of any rehabilitation treatment plan for the recovered, or who is in the process of recovery, depends on the extent of his family's awareness and knowledge of the size of their responsibility.

Aftercare services

In 2013, the Dubai Community Development Authority launched the Aounak Social Rehabilitation Center to treat and rehabilitate addicts and those at risk.
