Two taverns in central Stockholm are closed following a decision by the region's infection protection unit. This applies to Babylon on Götgatan and Ho's China on Hornsgatan, both on Södermalm.

- In both cases it is about congestion and in one case it is also about standing serving, says Per Follin, director of Smittskydd Stockholm.

Last weekend, a total of six taverns were closed in Stockholm and Södertälje, following a decision by the Infection Protection Unit. All have now been reopened.

Checks continue

During the weekend, checks continue in the capital, and not only in central districts as before.

- We will be in the outer urban areas during the weekend, says Kristine Fornander, acting head of environmental management in Stockholm.

Earlier in the day, the message came that even a pub in Gothenburg will be closed after checks.
