The woman who accuses Biden was, at the time of the allegedly unsuccessful investigation, employees at Biden's Senate office.

For several weeks, women's rights activists have discussed how the charges should be handled best, and finally, several activist groups prepared an open letter that partly praised Biden's support for sexual victims, but also urged him to respond to Reade's charges.

"Vice President Biden now has the opportunity to set a good example and show how to take serious allegations seriously," says a draft of the activists' letter.

Reject the charges

According to New York Times sources, activist groups have been waiting to publish the letter and instead tried to pressure Biden's advisers to get the presidential candidate to "self-respond" to the allegations.

But as yet, no major official statement has been made by Biden and his campaign workers more than insisting that the allegations are not true and that women have the right to be heard.

But now Joe Biden is backing another heavy democrat.

Pelosi: "No reports on this"

On Thursday, President Nancy Pelosi defended the presidential candidate during a press conference.

When a reporter asked how it was that Pelosi supported Biden while demanding an investigation against Brett Kavanaugh, a US Supreme Court judge who faced similar charges, she replied that Joe Biden has worked with women's rights issues and that he is a "personification" of hope and optimism ”.

- There are statements from his (Joe Bidens, editor) former employees who run his office that there have never been any reports on this.
