The United Arab Emirates affirmed its commitment to the political solution in Libya and the need for an immediate and comprehensive cease-fire.
In a statement issued today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stressed the UAE's support for a political solution to the Libyan crisis through the course of the Berlin Conference, calling on all parties to commit to the political process under the supervision of the United Nations.
Stressing that it is the only solution to achieve security and stability in Libya, and to preserve the integrity and integrity of its territories.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation commended the Libyan National Army for achieving terrorist operations and its relentless pursuit of stability and confrontation of extremist and terrorist militias in Libya.
The Ministry expressed its deep concern about Turkish interference in Arab affairs, including the Libyan internal affairs and the field escalation accompanying this intervention, and the provision of support to armed terrorist organizations by transferring foreign fighters from armed formations listed on terrorism to Libyan territory in flagrant violation of Security Council resolutions, As well as the smuggling of heavy and light weapons in violation of United Nations resolutions and the Berlin Conference, and the efforts of the international community calling for a ceasefire.
The Ministry also expressed categorical rejection of the Turkish military role, which impedes the chances of a ceasefire, and prejudices the efforts of the international community to reach a comprehensive political solution.
The UAE called on all parties to prevail in the public interest in a way that guarantees a better future for the brotherly Libyan people, and meets their aspirations for stability, peace and prosperity.
