According to Agence France-Presse, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized South Africa and Qatar for accepting doctors from Cuba to fight the Corona virus.
The agency pointed out that Pompeo accused Cuba - during a press conference in Washington - of continuing to use medical personnel to take advantage of the epidemic crisis.
The US secretary praised Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia and other countries that refused to hire Cuban doctors, the French news agency reported.
The agency confirmed that Pompeo had asked all countries, including South Africa and Qatar, to follow the example of those countries.
He also demanded that governments accepting Cuban doctors pay them directly and not pay the Cuban government, or else they were considered to be helping Havana to make profits from human trafficking, he said.
