“In connection with the epidemiological situation in the city and the current regime of self-isolation, it was decided to postpone the start date of hot water outages in multi-apartment buildings to June 1,” he told RIA Novosti.

According to him, usually hot water is switched off in stages after the end of the heating season - approximately in late April or early May.

“During the period of shutdown of hot water, preventive and repair work is carried out on utility networks, they are necessary in order to identify possible irregularities and eliminate them before the start of the new heating season. For example, last year more than 13 thousand potentially unreliable sections on heating networks were identified and repaired, ”he said.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that authorities could consider lifting restrictions on coronavirus after the May holidays, if the dynamics of the incidence is positive.
