China News Agency, Seoul, April 30 (Reporter Zeng Nai) According to the Chinese Embassy in South Korea, China and South Korea have reached an agreement on establishing a "fast track" for personnel exchanges in the business and other fields. Relevant personnel can apply for visas after performing the necessary approval procedures.

On April 29, China and South Korea held the second video conference on the joint prevention and control cooperation mechanism in response to the new coronary pneumonia epidemic. Wu Jianghao, Director of the Asian Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Jiang Xiangxu, Director of the Northeast Asia Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, co-chaired. The two countries' foreign affairs, health, commerce, customs, immigration, and civil aviation departments participated.

The Chinese embassy in South Korea provided information to the media that during the meeting, the two sides positively evaluated the anti-epidemic achievements of the other country and believed that the cooperation between China and South Korea in joint prevention and control was fruitful. China and South Korea have focused on reaching an agreement on the establishment of an "express channel" for important business, logistics, production and technical services that are in urgent need of personnel under the premise of good epidemic prevention and control.

According to the "fast track" approach, relevant personnel can apply for a visa after performing the necessary administrative approval procedures in the other country. After passing the health test and quarantine test, they can enter the other country and carry out normal activities in accordance with the closed-loop management principle. Relevant personnel comply with local epidemic prevention requirements while in the other country, and accept management supervision throughout the process.

The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a press briefing to the media that the "fast track" system will be implemented from May and will apply to all parts of South Korea and 10 provinces and cities in China. Korean business people, etc., need to hold visas to China, health certificates and other materials, and after passing the new coronary pneumonia virus quarantine in institutions approved by South Korea and China, they can be exempted from 14 days of isolation measures when they arrive in some provinces and cities in China.

As of 0:00 local time on the 30th, South Korea has accumulatively confirmed 10,765 cases; in the past 24 hours, 4 new cases have been confirmed. (Finish)
