This was reported by TASS with reference to a report prepared by the Central Research Institute for Organization and Informatization of Healthcare of the Ministry of Health of Russia. As specified, it contains data for April 26th.
“Russia is the largest country in the world in terms of territory, so the population is quite dispersed, which objectively reduces the contacts of people among themselves,” the text says.
It is also noted that compared with the United States and European countries, Russia has a relatively low population mobility.
Earlier, Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko called on Russians to refrain from traveling on May holidays to relatives and friends.
