The study involved 162 employees.

Of these, 13 people have IgM antibodies. This means that the subject is most likely recently ill. Isolation and additional surveillance are needed.

Three more people showed antibodies of both classes - IgM and IgG. This means that the subject is most likely in the active stage of the disease. He and the nearest circle of contacts need urgent isolation, and in the presence of symptoms of the disease (fever, cough, weakness, shortness of breath) - urgent medical advice.

As a result, 16 out of 162 people were sent to isolation.

The remaining employees lack antibodies of both classes (IgM and IgG). This means that they did not suffer from coronavirus.

Employees who would have present only IgG antibodies (a sign that a person has already had a viral infection and the body has developed an immune response) was not found.

Moreover, according to the WHO, there is currently no evidence that people who have transferred COVID-19 and have antibodies are completely protected from reinfection.

RT was the first company in Russia to conduct screening tests for antibodies to COVID-19 for its employees. Currently, these tests are mainly conducted by medical personnel.

The test shows if there are antibodies in the blood that the immune system produces to fight the virus. The result makes it possible to understand whether a person has been ill and whether he has immunity to coronavirus.

It is this test that is now being massively passed by residents of Wuhan and other Chinese cities, who are gradually returning to their normal rhythm of life after the epidemic.
