European fighters escorted Russian Tu-160 over the Baltic

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

It is noted that two Tu-160 VKS of Russia completed a planned flight lasting eight hours over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.

“At certain stages of the route, Russian aircraft were escorted by Finnish Air Force F-18 fighters, Danish Air Force F-16, Poland F-16 and Saab JAS 39 Gripen Swedish Air Force,” TASS quoted the defense department.

In March, Tu-160 bombers made a 15-hour flight over the Atlantic.
