The Minister of Health Olivier Véran assured Wednesday on Franceinfo to take "very seriously" the appearance in France of cases of children affected by a serious illness, reporting in Paris about fifteen children of all ages, but pointing out that there were not yet enough elements to make a link with the new coronavirus.
Health officials in the UK launched an alert earlier this week regarding an increase in the number of children with symptoms resembling Kawasaki disease, a vascular syndrome affecting young children, the cause of which remains unknown.
