A locksmith, called Monday afternoon to change the barrel of an illegally occupied apartment, was violently attacked in Vénissieux near Lyon. The man was commissioned by the landlord of the building. So he went there but when he left, once his task was done, he was taken to task by the squatters.

The latter (two according to the victim) waited until he left the residence to punch him in the face with punches, indicates the Sûreté du Rhône. And to strip it. They then fled while the victim was transported to the hospital. He was prescribed six days of ITT.

Business inadvertently stolen

One of the two suspects, aged 24 and from Avignon, went to the police station the next day to report himself, also bringing back some of the stolen belongings. However, he did not deliver the same version as the victim, claiming to the police that he had been attacked first by the locksmith. He also said that he left the scene by "inadvertently taking the technician's belongings".

It must be presented to the prosecution today for a summons and a judgment at a later date. His alleged accomplice has not been identified.
