Friday is Labor Day. But because of the confinement, impossible to participate in the traditional demonstration of May 1, forbidden to go for a walk in the forest to pick lily of the valley, unthinkable to take advantage of the public holiday to make a trip to the sea. Anyway, it will ugly. So why not have a little concert? No, we have not lost common sense, because on Friday evening, three hours of (almost) live music are offered by the "Festival in your house". Explanations.
Of course, there is no question of a gigantic gathering in a vast plain facing a no less vast stage on which lots of bands would perform. “Setting up a real festival is usually very complicated and impossible at the moment. The idea that we had with my musician friend Fabien Orlita is to organize a festival on Facebook live ”, explains Loïc Parasote, artistic director by trade.

We no longer count the artists who have performed via this bias since the start of confinement. We have even seen symphonic orchestras deliver breathtaking performances with musicians confined each at home. But there are still two small originalities for the Festival in your house. “We wanted to highlight groups from Lille. There are plenty, and very good ones, that only people who go to concert cafes know, ”Loïc continues. Seven groups rooted in the area will participate in the festival: A-Vox, Feather / Feather, Tempal temple, MNTR, Myriagon, Graffiti fish and Romain Watson. “These are just bands playing their songs, not covers. And the trend is rather pop-rock, ”adds the organizer.
Musicians will be entitled to 30-minute sets, recorded in the afternoon. "We preferred this solution because, depending on where the musicians are, the internet connection does not necessarily allow a good quality live broadcast", explains Loïc. Between each mini-concert, local associations will explain on video the solidarity initiatives they put in place during the confinement. To warm the audience, drummer Camille Greneron will rock a few small family drum solos before the festival begins.
The whole thing should last around three hours, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., Friday. You just have to go to the Facebook page of the Festival in your house and enjoy, all for no fuss. Surely there may be a little something missing. But nothing prevents to bring a little mud for the atmosphere and to poop in front of its screen a plastic cup filled with beer in hand.
