When the government presented its spring amending budget two weeks ago, the Christian Democrats, just like other opposition parties, felt it contained too little money to curb the corona crisis. During Tuesday, they presented their budget option.

The new in the shadow budget was an extra five billion support to the municipalities.

- We have a lot of employees in healthcare and care who do not know how long they will empower, and who have too few colleagues, says Ebba Busch.

Convert hourly appointments

Among other things, the party wants every actor who transfers an hourly employment in the elderly care to a permanent employment to receive a compensation of SEK 50,000.

- We must create a safer work situation for the employees. Today, hourly employees go up to 25 percent, which is a very high percentage, says Ebba Busch.

101 billion to companies

Most of the investments go to protect jobs and companies. Here KD wants to invest SEK 101.1 billion, of which SEK 80 billion goes to cost support to entrepreneurs.

They also want to see increased lay-off support from 80 to 90 percent and changed rules to get access to the support.

During the press conference, the party's economic-political spokesperson Jakob Forssmed criticized the current lay-off rules, saying that the requirements set by the government to receive support, among other things, lead to companies having to dispose of fixed-term employees.
