The Supreme Committee, in charge of discussing a mechanism to deal with developments resulting from the spread of the emerging corona virus (Covid-19) in the Sultanate of Oman, held a meeting yesterday, and decided to reopen some commercial activities, while stressing the need to avoid gatherings of any kind due to their risk in spreading the virus, and spreading Injury in society.
The reopened activities included: vehicle repair workshops, fishing boat repair shops, vehicle spare parts stores, fishing gear stores, electronics and computer hardware sales and repair shops, home electrical appliances repair, satellite broadcasters, vehicle rental offices, rental offices Equipment and machinery, sale in specialized stores of stationery and stationery, printers, quarries and crushers, and in the previous activities, it is not permitted to enter the assigned customers, and that the service be limited to receipt and delivery.
The committee also decided to reopen the shop of electricians, change oils, repair brakes, and sell and repair tires, provided that a maximum of two customers are allowed at the same time.
The committee also decided to allow exchange firms to practice their services, and to practice various mentioned economic activities is required to comply with all health requirements, which are specified by the concerned authorities.
In addition, the Omani Ministry of Health announced the registration of 82 new cases of coronavirus, including 40 cases of Omanis, and 42 cases of non-Omanis, bringing the total number of cases registered in the Sultanate to 2131 cases, the number of deaths 10, and a total of 364 cases of recovery.
