Due to the coronavirus outbreak, train travel has more than halved in the last month - which means that Skånetrafiken now redirects its traffic.

This means that the freight trains from May 1 will stop rolling in Blekinge, Skånetrafiken writes in a press release. It is about the Kristianstad - Bromölla - Karlshamns train line which disappears. To compensate, all Öresund trains stop in Fjälkinge.

The pavement trains in Skåne run on several routes only until 22 on weekdays and weekends. Otherwise the trains in Skåne run as usual.

- Due to the reduced travel, we reduce the number of train departures by a few percent. To avoid congestion on board, we do this at times and departures when few travel, says Linda Westman, Business Manager Pågatågen, in the press release.
