Hilda's dad and ten-year-old Palle, who is a mix of papillion and terrier, last week took an afternoon stroll along Värmlandsgatan in Kristinehamn when Palle got a taste of something edible in the form of a meatball that he tasted. When they got home, Palle started to feel bad.

- He shook, vomited and foam came out of his mouth, says Hilda.

Taken to animal hospital

At the animal hospital in Karlstad it was found that Palle was poisoned by glycol.

- Dad went back and found three more meatballs at the place he went and handed in at the police station.

Hilda has no idea who would want to poison animals.

- You read quite often about animals that have been poisoned by various things that people have put out. There are people to everything, she notes.

Want to warn others

Today, despite the circumstances, Palle is doing well but Hilda wants to warn other dog owners.

- There may be more meatballs there that we did not find. I've posted a warning on social media so that others can keep track of their dogs so they don't chew on anything.

Hilda and her father have reported the incident to the police, but no report has been registered from the police.
