The Commander of Ajman Police, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, told a press conference yesterday to announce the details of the case, saying that the operation is one of the largest and most complex robberies in the country, given the planning and new criminal method that the gang members used to steal cars and smuggle them out of The state, however, the experience and competence of the men of the investigations were their lookout.
He pointed out that the gang relied on implementing the car theft on people who are entered into the country with visiting visas, and they rent cars from rental offices in the emirates of the state, then sell cars to other people to smuggle them out of the country, and leave the country, which posed a great challenge for investigators to track down the accused.
He continued that the case started with the receipt of several reports from car rental agencies about the failure to return a number of car renters after the end of the agreed rental period, and by checking on the tenants it was found that they are all outside the state, as it was found that there are a number of communications in other emirates on the same issue.
In turn, the Director of the Criminal Investigation and Investigation Department at Ajman Police, Lt. Col. He stressed that Ajman Police managed to seize 12 persons from the gang members from Arab and Asian countries, and recover 55 cars out of 83 cars worth six million and 350 thousand dirhams, of which 38 were in the ports of neighboring countries, they were recovered in good condition, while two others are pursued outside The state, and following up the cars that entered the Arab countries to retrieve them in cooperation with the "Interpol".
