As SVT News Blekinge previously told, both Försäkringskassan and Olofström Municipality have said no to the 80 hours of assistance that Simon Mourujärvi had previously.

But now the legal battle has produced results. When the municipality said no to personal assistance, the family turned to the Administrative Court in Växjö, which has now passed its verdict.

"The Administrative Court cancels the Social Committee's decision and re-directs the case to the Social Committee for further processing," the judgment states.

"A positive thing"

Sister Emma Mourujärvi comments on the message.

- It gave us energy. This means that something happens in the case. We have been standing for a few months and stomped without anything happening. This feels like a positive thing that the social service in Olofström is allowed to try again, she says.

No definitive message

At the same time, she emphasizes that it is not a definite message that her brother is entitled to the assistance requested by the family.

- You don't know what the municipality is doing with this, if they solve it or what happens. You are a little awaiting in some way because you do not know what will happen, she says.

How have you been doing since last fall?

- It has been really tough for the family. We have taken great responsibility when he is home and not on short-term housing. But we will not give up. Simon needs his assistants, says Emma Mourujärvi.

The municipality responds

The Social Committee chairman in Olofström, Miroslav Milurovic (S), comments on the judgment.

- Just follow the verdict and follow the verdict. For starters, we have to make sure they get the assistance they need. Then we will see in the future whether we appeal or not, he says.
