According to the government decree that has been in effect since March 29, the police have the right to disperse crowds of more than 50 people - if they are public events. However, private events are not covered by this prohibition.
This has become a concern for the police ahead of last April - as it is feared that spontaneous celebrations will occur around Uppsala.
But according to Carin Götblad, the regional police chief in Region Mitt, there is a section in the Police Act that could give the police the right to block areas in coronation times.
