Guide: This applies to the country's births

Blekinge Hospital Karlskrona:

A healthy companion, with no cold symptoms, may accompany the delivery.

BB is not allowed to bring anyone.

Falu laser:

A healthy partner or relative may be present during childbirth. That person may not be exchanged for another during labor. Partners or relatives who are healthy may also join the operating room under caesarean section - but only if the birth is also healthy.

Partner / relative may not stay at BB.

Anyone who has a long journey and who is offered to stay at the patient hotel can currently have a partner / family member with them. However, anyone who has detected or suspected coronas infection may not be at the hotel.

Visby laser:

A healthy / symptom-free partner or other support person may be present during childbirth and also afterwards in the ward, if there is space. However, the person must remain in the department at all times.

Gävle Hospital and Hudiksvall Hospital:

A relative may accompany the one who is to give birth. That person must be healthy and must not have any cold symptoms.

Halland's hospital in Varberg and Halmstad:

The birth mother may have only one adult relative in the delivery room. The rules also apply to caesarean sections and any possible complications.

No relatives may accompany the newly-redeemed and the child to the BB department. Exceptions can be made based on the situation of the woman or the child, then at the decision of the head of department or back office.

Östersund Hospital:

The birth partner is welcome at birth and the BB ward if they are completely symptom free and do not leave the hospital.

However, the number of beds / places at BB is limited and the hospital has shortened the time of care at BB to reduce the risk of infection spreading. However, a medical assessment of how long the mother and child need to stay at BB is always made.

Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping, Highland Hospital in Eksjö and Värnamo Hospital:

Only a relative, without a cold symptom, is allowed to come into the maternity ward.

Only mother and child are allowed to stay in the BB department.

The county hospital in Kalmar and Västervik hospital:

A partner or close associate may participate in childbirth if they are healthy. They must be free of symptoms of respiratory infection such as cough, fever or sore throat.

A visitor's ban prevails in the BB-mother department and only the child and the child are allowed to stay there.

Centrallasarrette Växjö:

At the birth, the partner or another relative who is healthy may join. The next of kin must be the same during childbirth. Even in Caesarean section, a healthy partner is allowed to participate.

Only BB and mother and children are allowed to stay.

Sunderby Hospital and Gällivare Hospital:

A healthy partner / relative is welcome for both the birth and the BB. For other relatives there is a prohibition on visiting BB.

The laser center in Ystad, Skåne University Hospital, Kristianstad Central Hospital and Helsingborg laser:

The birth partner / relative may be present during childbirth, provided they are healthy. In case of symptoms of respiratory infection such as cough, fever or sore throat they must stay at home. At the maternity wards in Malmö and Lund, it is emphasized that the relative must be one and the same person during the entire stay.

In the case of a planned or emergency caesarean section, the birth partner or relatives may not be present during the operation but may wait in another room.

Partners / relatives may not follow BB.

Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge:

A healthy partner / companion may participate in childbirth, but only if they are without fever and / or respiratory symptoms.

They may also join BB but must remain in the department at all times.

Pregnant women who are admitted to the hospital and who are not at high risk of giving birth within 12 hours may not have a relative present.

Danderyds hospital:

The woman may have a relative with her during childbirth, but this person may not have any symptoms of covid-19.

If the person who is to give birth is suspected to have been infected or infected by the coronavirus, the partner must not accompany him into the operating room at Caesarean section.

Partners or relatives may not stay at BB, but exceptions can be made if, for example, the child or mother is seriously ill. Visiting prohibitions apply to other relatives.

BB Stockholm:

The woman giving birth may only bring her partner or other person for support, except for any doula. Those who follow should not have any signs of respiratory infection or fever.

All new parents and children are sent home six hours after the birth of the child, with the exception of women who have had a cesarean section, women who have suffered a complication or in cases where the child requires special care.

South Hospital:

A healthy partner or other healthy companion, who has no fever and / or respiratory symptoms, may participate in childbirth.

In special cases, the birthing woman may have a doula with her in addition to a healthy companion at birth.

A healthy partner for the newborn child may stay on BB aftercare.

Södertälje Hospital:

An adult healthy relative may follow the birth and the BB ward. They must be free of cold symptoms or fever.

Nyköping's laser and Mälar Hospital in Eskilstuna:

A relative may follow the delivery. Visits to the region's hospitals are not allowed at all if the visitor has respiratory symptoms, such as coughing or breathing difficulties.

Only one adult relative may visit BB. As far as space is concerned, it gets overnight.

Uppsala Academic Hospital:

Only one and the same companion to the birth. It should be healthy and without cold symptoms.

In the BB department the same rules apply as for the birth.

Karlstad Central Hospital:

Partner may follow the birth if they are completely without respiratory symptoms. This also applies to any aftercare in department 11, 14 and the patient hotel. The accompanying person may not leave the hospital between the delivery and any aftercare, or leave the ward which may become relevant.

Norrland University Hospital in Umeå, Skellefteå Lasarett and Lycksele Lasarett:

Partners or relatives may participate in childbirth, provided they do not have cold symptoms such as cough, fever or sore throat.

At the BB or BB home care, the birth partner or family member must not be included.

The county hospital Sundsvall-Härnösand and Örnsköldsvik hospital:

Only a relative may follow the birth and the BB department. It must be free of cold symptoms and without fever. The person must not be changed during the stay.

Only the mother and newborn child can stay at the early home reception.

Västmanland Hospital in Västerås

Only one relative may be present at the birth. It must be free of respiratory symptoms such as coughing, coughing or other cold symptoms, and must not have been in a hazardous area or had contact with an infected person. The next of kin may not be exchanged for another person during the care period, and may not leave the ward during the course of childbirth.

At BB, only the mother and the newborn are allowed to stay.

Örebro University Hospital:

A person is allowed to accompany the delivery woman to the birth, and should mainly stay inside the delivery room. The next of kin must be the same during the hospital stay.

Only the mother and the newborn child are allowed to stay at the aftercare reception of the birth.

Linköping University Hospital:

At the birth and the BB ward, a relative may come along. It must be the same person during the stay, and they must be without any sign of covid-19.

It is not possible for partners / relatives to stay overnight at BB.

Vrinevis Hospital Norrköping:

A healthy accompanying partner may follow the birth and BB. They must be free of infectious symptoms.

Sahlgrenska university hospital:

Partners or close associates without symptoms of covid-19 may participate in childbirth.

Only the newly-born and the newborn can stay in the BB department.

Skaraborg Hospital Skövde:

A healthy partner or other person may participate in the delivery.

No visits are allowed at BB.

Södra Älvsborg Hospital Borås:

Only one and the same companion to the birth. You must not visit the hospital if you have respiratory symptoms.

Only mother and newborn are allowed on BB.

Northern Älvsborg County Hospital in Trollhättan:

A healthy partner may participate in the delivery.

No visit by partner at BB.
