The Dubai Health Authority decided to prohibit the use or sale of rapid laboratory testing devices to detect antibody in the blood of the Corona virus (Covid-19), requiring hospitals and private medical clinics, and pharmaceutical facilities licensed by them to abide by the decision, to prevent violation.

The authority attributed the ban decision in a circular issued yesterday that it has not yet proven the usefulness of these devices used to examine "Corona", and it has not been adopted internationally as an approved diagnostic method, noting that it is currently based on testing the effectiveness of these devices and will inform all parties of the results.

She noted that this step is part of its existing efforts to combat the Corona virus pandemic, and to continue the scientific approach based on evidence and evidence.
