China News Service, April 27th. According to the Russian Satellite Network report on the 26th, Ukrainian President Zelensky inspected the fire in the restricted area of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant during a helicopter. At present, the police have arrested two people suspected of having a fire in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

Earlier reports said that Ukrainian rescuers continued to put out fires at two fire spots in the Chernobyl area.

During a helicopter inspection of the fire scene, Ukrainian President Zelensky pointed out that the fire destroyed a large amount of forest, more than 11,000 hectares. In addition, Zelensky also met with rescuers and awarded national medals to outstanding workers.

On April 4, a forest fire that reached an area of 20 hectares occurred in the restricted area of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. On the 7th, the fire area increased to 35 hectares. The Ukrainian Emergency Department announced on April 14 that the fire has been brought under control and is expected to be completely extinguished in the near future.

But the strong wind caused the fire to spread again. Rescuers successfully prevented the fire from spreading to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and nuclear waste storage.

Rescuers and police believe that the cause of the fire was less snow in winter and dry forest.

At the same time, the police also arrested two people suspected of having a fire in the Chernobyl exclusion zone.
