Yesterday (26th), we reported on the news yesterday (26th) that people who worked at the Defense Science Research Institute retired and were accused of carrying out confidential information from the government. The biggest worry is that our core technology is moving abroad. However, as a result of our coverage, it was confirmed that some researchers accused of leaking technology had entered a foreign company or had already left the country.

This is an exclusive report by Kim Tae-hoon, a defense journalist.

<Reporter> There

are about 60 ADD retirees from the Defense Research Institute, alleged to have leaked data from military and investigative agencies.

More than 20 of these are key suspects who have stored large amounts of data and retired.

A military official said, "One of the core suspects is suspected of leaking domestic weapons technology overseas."

It was said that he was found to have been employed by a foreign defense company or immigrated abroad.

If the scope is expanded to more than 60 suspects, the military believes that there will be at least two or three retired researchers employed in foreign companies.

The so-called 'throwing technology' suspicion is raised, which is to hand over the technology to the company first and then move on.

[ADD officials: (Are you throwing your skills in (the company) and are you getting a job there?) That's very likely.]

Inside ADD, the real names of retired researchers who recently left for the United Arab Emirates are being discussed.

Along with this, foreign government-owned technology, which is in technical cooperation with ADD, may have leaked together, and it is known that the corresponding national intelligence authorities have been watching the ADD trend with our military a few months ago.

If the core technologies of ADD's domestic weapons developed under international cooperation have been passed on to competitors, etc., the domestic defense industry's competitiveness is weakened and there is a growing concern that it will become an international issue.
