The latest figures indicate that the new Corona virus infected more than 2.9 million people, of whom 203,000 died, and recovered 825 thousand, while indicators of improvement continued in countries afflicted by the virus, and Arab governments took decisions to reduce isolation and closure measures.

Although most deaths and injuries were recorded in Europe and the United States of America, measures to contain the virus began to pay off in these countries, prompting governments to announce plans to return to normalcy in May. 

In the United States, the New York Governor said, "The decline in the number of corona infections continues and we have returned to the level we were at the end of last month."

He added that the state, which is the epicenter of the virus in the United States, witnessed 367 new deaths from the Corona virus, and "the number of infections has decreased to a thousand cases per day."

The United States is the country most affected by the virus in terms of infections and deaths, with about 54,000 deaths and more than 900,000 infections. 

 But Kevin Hassett, the president's economic adviser, said on Sunday that White House advisers hope to devise several options to present to President Donald Trump in order to set "substantial informed policies" to help rebuild confidence in the economy that is afflicted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Exit the homes

In Italy, the Civil Protection Agency said the number of deaths due to coronavirus infection increased by 260, the lowest daily toll since March 14.

The country also recorded the lowest number of new cases of the virus since April 20, which is 2324 cases.

Italy is the country most affected by the virus in Europe and was the first country to implement comprehensive isolation measures on its population.

The agency said that the total number of deaths was now 26,644 deaths, while the number of injuries 

197675 case.

And the country is awaiting a fateful decision at the end of this week regarding the restrictions that will be lifted when the current closure period ends on May 3. Italians are more likely to be allowed, with the start of next month, to leave their homes freely for the first time since 9 March. 

Spain recorded 288 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the lowest number since March 20.

This daily toll brings the total number of deaths to 23,290 in this country, which is among the worst affected by the outbreak behind the United States and Italy. 

Spain has begun easing public closings by letting children out. "We are in the process of strengthening the decline," said Health Minister Salvador Ella.

In France, the government plans to gradually lift the closing procedures as of May 1 next.

France recorded 242 deaths from the virus on Sunday, which is a higher figure than the outcome of Saturday, but it is much lower than the daily numbers that were recorded in the past weeks. 

Statistics of the Ministry of Health seem to confirm that the epidemic is declining in France, although caution is required, as the weekend numbers are often underestimated and underestimated as incomplete numbers and less than the real numbers

On Sunday, the authorities recorded 413 additional deaths in hospitals, the lowest number since the end of March. 

Environment Minister John Ostis spoke of "encouraging signs". 

For her part, Scottish Prime Minister Nicolas Storgen added pressure to announce her strategy to gradually reopen some companies and schools.

In Northern Ireland, Prime Minister Arlen Foster hinted that she might lift the restrictions before England does so.

Arab decisions

Today, Sunday, the official Saudi Press Agency reported that King Salman bin Abdulaziz issued an order to partially lift the curfew in all regions of the Kingdom, so that it will be from nine in the morning until five in the evening starting today, while keeping the complete curfew in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

The royal order also permitted the opening of some economic and commercial activities, including wholesale and retail trade stores and commercial centers, during the period from the sixth of Ramadan until the twentieth of the same month.

Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Health said that the number of deaths from Covid-19 rose to 139, and confirmed that the injuries amounted to 17522 while 2,357 people recovered.

In Jordan, the Minister of State for Information Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayleh, announced that some public sector service institutions will return to work with a limited number of employees, to be decided by the competent minister or who heads those institutions.

The government decided to lift the curfew in the northeastern city of Mafraq, because it had not recorded any infections with the Corona virus.

In Mauritania, the authorities overturned the decision to shut down the city of Kaedi, the capital of Corkel State, which a few weeks ago had witnessed an infection of a Coronavirus with a person coming from Senegal. 

In implementation of the decision, the police, gendarmerie and army units withdrew from the entrances and exits of the city. 

Mauritania recorded 7 cases of the emerging Coronavirus, six of which were cured, and the seventh case-bearer, who is a woman from France, died.

In Algeria, the office of Prime Minister Abdelaziz Jarrad said yesterday that the country has taken other steps to ease restrictions imposed by Corona by allowing many stores to resume their activities to reduce the economic and social impacts of the health crisis caused by the pandemic.

The procedures include opening building materials stores, public works, household appliances, fabrics, jewelry, clothing, shoes, cosmetics, perfumes, home and office furniture, pastries, and barbershops, as well as transporting individuals by taxi.

On Thursday, the Algerian government decided to reduce the measures of public isolation by reducing the curfew in some states, but called on citizens to be vigilant. And that measure came hours before the month of Ramadan, which started Friday.

According to Algerian government figures, the number of corona infections reached 3256 cases and 419 deaths, while 1479 patients recovered.
